Nathan's Campaign for Bala-Badi: Empowering Early Education

Empowering Early Learning: Nathan Vemulapalli's Chess & T-Shirt Campaign for Bala-Badi

In many rural parts of India, young children often miss out on early education as their parents are occupied with agricultural work. Recognizing this gap, the Sodhana Foundation's Bala-Badi (Pre-School) program has spent over two decades providing hands-on, meaningful education to children during their formative years.

Today, the Sodhana Foundation operates 19 pre-schools across rural villages in the Vizianagaram district, each serving as a beacon of learning and opportunity. Running each school costs approximately ₹1.5 lakhs annually, covering essentials like teacher salaries, learning materials, and nutritious meals.

Nathan's Commitment

Inspired by this mission, Nathan Vemulapalli, a middle school volunteer, has launched a community campaign to support Bala-Badi's pre-schools. Through chess classes and custom t-shirt printing, Nathan is raising funds to help cover essential classroom needs—ensuring children in these communities continue to receive quality early education for one pre school
